The deep freeze that began this week is expected to linger well into next week, with a brief warm-up on Monday but Super Bowl Sunday looking cold, according to weather experts.

This morning, the mercury sank to 10 below zero in Berkeley and Basking Ridge, according to the New Jersey Weather and Climate Network.
Arctic high pressure will continue to dominate next week, with temperatures expected to be much below normal in much of the East from Jan. 27 to 30, according to the National Weather Service.
Precipitation may be normal or below-normal from Jan. 30 to Feb. 3 in New Jersey, depending on the location, according to the Climate Prediction Center.
Will it snow on Super Bowl Sunday?
As of today, forecasters expect below-normal temperatures and below-normal precipitation in North Jersey during Superbowl weekend, according to BigGameWeather.com.
It's expected to snow tomorrow, however, according to the weather service.
